  1. Another awesome issue, Angel! Fantastic cover art too. Great stories and I think my favorite this time is Kevin G Bufton's A Night in the Morgue.

  3. Great issue! I can't stop thinking about Kevin Bufton's A Night in the Morgue. Most tingling 25 words I've ever read.

  4. A Night in the Morgue is also near the top of my "top 5", as are the pieces by Ms. Eno here - but I also think that "Dog" was well chosen as the feature this time around. The repetition and the sudden, dawning horror are exquisite.

  5. This issue explores some dark characters...and those that fall prey to them.

    My favorites:
    Love Means..., by Debbi Antebi;
    Dog, by Scott Cole;
    Homerun, by Daniel Brolund;
    Call Waiting, by Chris Allinotte;
    Dating Hell, by Laura Eno;
    Awkward Exit, by Amanda Sablak;
    The Seamstress, by Richard Godwin;
    and Delivery Guy, by Chris Fries.

  6. I'm always amazed by the synchronicity and patterns of the authors. Teeth seem prominent in this one. Here are my fav five of this issue (although I enjoyed them all) :
    A Night In The Morgue by Kevin G Bufton
    After Abish by Steve Silkin
    When We Missed The Forest For The Trees by A. S. Andrews
    Dog, by Scott Cole
    The Seamstress by Richard Godwin

  8. Another great read!! An honor to be a part. I agree, teeth seemed to be a reoccurring theme. Great visuals! My faves: UNSUB Known, Temporarily Life-changing, Wedding Plans, and Homerun. Also, amazed at After Abish! :) Great job everyone and congrats to Scott Cole!

  9. Not familiar with 5x5 and totally consumed all three issues. I'm so impressed! I teach a writing class at the local college and used 5x5 as an assignment for my students. They should be reading all three issues and writing their own stories. Hopefully, you'll get their submissions too. Keep up the great work.
