Please do take the time to provide feedback here. I want to know what you do and don’t like. At the very least, let these amazing writers know how much you appreciate their work.

Fantastic work, Angel - I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe stories are everything you promised - strong stories, simply told.
Congratulations to all the writers in this issue. Definitely will be submitting for future issues.
Awesome concept - awesome work.
Mmm, Murders, Monsters & Misfortune menaced the mind! What a word-worthy thrive of this debut to 5x5. Hearty Congrats (best kind) to the glide past the gruesome, Angel. Concept so well construed it either taunts, daunts or haunts the mind long after the concise sentencing structure emits its linger.

AND TO AUSPICIOUS AUTHORS (5'ing) ~
ReplyDeleteSolender had me in giggles. Eno turned them to tears. Perennially, Kewin made fear grow. A shout to Michaels' shot! Natch, Zelda tumbles the sensations. Ain't Wiswell always other worldly? Rosen raised such a clatter. Hardly kindness Harding sneaked over. Cool Cole title tittilates timely. Steering clear of Trevor's points! Mander's some free spirit, eh? Munoz brought back the guffaws. Hallmark holidays won't hire Allinotte. Sultry saxes sex up Absolutely*Kate. Hayes had me at 'moonbeam'. Dark D'arko speaks silence swell. Allinotte's #2 rocked sentence #4! Davoll's barks worse than bites? Vote Zelda-2 for nightly news-anchor. Cowin grossed grouted hungers (eeeeewwww!) Ohlrogge even whispers smoky hot. Hayes #2 reflected illusions' pain. Vigilante Brown digs Daddy down! Eno's second exploded the mind. Biggest smile on Hayes-3's senses.
Thanks Angel for daunting delights.

Each one so clever and dark, and the bios- Love the bios.

These are fabulous! And congrats to you Angel -- really glad you received oodles of submissions and selected these worthy ones. But yes, so gruesome! Peace...
ReplyDeleteBonemeal was my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWow! Some great stuff.
ReplyDeleteAngel, can you make up a badge that we can post on the sidebar of our blogs?
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Angel. A great start to what I hope will be an amazing adventure. I'd better get my fingers tapping on my keyboard!!
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely brilliant. I loved it. Some great stuff there. I think 'Ugly' is my fave.
ReplyDeleteTwenty-five tall tales told in such short stories! I enjoyed every one of them, but couldn't begin to decide which one is my favorite. But you, Angel, get top honors for having this wonderful idea of 5x5, and for executing it so well.
ReplyDelete5x5 = 25 finely told tales, Angel.
ReplyDeleteGreat read!
I enjoyed those. I think the one that scared me most was Bonemeal.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed all of them and have passed on the link to everybody I know, and a lot of strangers too.
ReplyDeleteGreat work putting this together Angel. Every writer in this first issue should feel proud at the quality of the writing, diversity and content of these great stories. I feel privileged to be amongst them.
Very cool. "Bonemeal" stood out, but all were fine reads.
ReplyDeleteThese ebb and flow like ocean waves. Sharp ocean waves. I think what surprised me most is how much raw, startling clarity some of these possessed. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteA fantastic first issue. Well done to Angel and all the 5x5'ers
Ooh, very nice!
ReplyDeleteNow my brain is thumping to a 5x5 beat...
Congrats on a great first issue - some really killer stories (and thanks for the inclusion). Loved the theme and each of the writers picked were first rate. Ugly hit me like a hard left to the gut....well done.

ReplyDeleteMy sincere thanks to each and every one of you for stopping by, reading, and providing feedback. The writers in this issue really exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to see the submissions for issue two.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very cool collection, and a brilliant concept.
ReplyDeleteAngel? Will you spiel us one of YOUR 5x5's here in the commentary column we're all grinnin' at? You are the tight telling concept-master after all.
ReplyDeleteAnd the bright red on the thematic badge shouts you out mighty fine. Some of Laura's handiwork? (Chris, thanks) ~ Absolutely*Kate
Such a simple idea, with such complex and deep results. Excellent stuff. =)
ReplyDeleteOutstanding first issue Angel!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I lost touch with you for so long, but am glad I've found you again.
I met a man yesterday. He talked with a lisp. He was born in Mississippi. He now lives in Wisconsin. Fate can sometimes be cruel.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your debut issue. I like what I read; it is a very cool collection.
